Apple Ipad Review
The Apple Ipad is a product meant to take the place of both a laptop and a smart phone. Its interface is slick with multitouch glass wrapped in lightweight aluminum. The price is fairly affordable and can be found at most Apple shops for $499. This device is too big for a pocket yet to small for a desktop, so it should mainly be used for emails, internet browsing, videos, photos, games, and eBooks.
A number of companies have tried this type of product and failed, but the Apple has succeeded with the Ipad in the first attempt. The reason for this is the experience of an Ipad, holding one of them is will feel different than any netbook or smart phone you’ve ever held. The screen is large enough to comfortable browse the internet and watch movies while traveling, yet it is also small enough to easily fit inside most bags. It is also extremely thin, but the solid aluminum frame is more than enough to keep it from breaking.
No physical keyboard is present, but the IPad contains software that will give you a virtual touch-keyboard so you can chat and type messages with ease. Speakers are also present, although they are hard to see, and can deliver good quality sound. An Ipad can be used almost anywhere, but it is best used while having it on your lap or reclining it on your arm.
Software and graphics are clean and crisp on the interface. Touching the screen will bring about different commands depending on what program you are running. An Ipad requires larger hand gestures compared to smartphone because the screen is bigger, so that may take some getting used to unless you have previously worked with a touch screen laptop. Its performance is also very fast and programs can be opened and closed at flying speeds.
Overall, buying a Ipad would be a good investment because at the moment there isn’t anything like it on the market. Apple has taken a computer and made it more personal, crossing it between a laptop and phone. However, if you need a fully functioning laptop then an Ipad will not be able to suit your needs because it is mainly meant for casual internet use and media. They do replace a netbook quite well though because they are roughly the same size and can perform many of the same functions. The price is also fairly similar. Free comparison websites such as Broadband Genie have up-to-date SIM for iPad price data, along with the different services available, such as iPad pay and go.
